The Sukanya Valeti Scholarship Fund (SVSF) is one of the flagship education initiatives of Sam and Jane Foundation dedicated to supporting meritorious students from economically disadvantaged rural families who are unable to continue their education due to financial hardships.
At Sam and Jane Foundation, we strongly believe that no deserving student should discontinue education because of poverty, lack of resources, or difficult family circumstances. Through SVSF, we aim to empower talented and hardworking students by providing financial assistance that enables them to pursue quality education and build a better future.
The scholarship program primarily supports students from low-income rural families, widows’ households, single-parent families, and socially vulnerable backgrounds who demonstrate strong academic potential but struggle to meet educational expenses.
What the Scholarship Covers

To ensure transparency and proper utilization of funds, all scholarship payments are made directly to the respective educational institutions, colleges, schools, hostels, or authorized fee accounts. No scholarship amount is transferred to personal bank accounts of applicants or family members.
Our Scholarship Selection Process:
Sam and Jane Foundation follows a strict, transparent, and verification-based scholarship selection process to ensure that support reaches the most deserving students who genuinely require assistance.
Step 1 – Initial Contact

Our team will connect with the applicant to understand the educational challenges, financial situation, and family background.
Step 2 – Preliminary Assessment & Family Verification
Based on the initial interaction, our field team may conduct a personal visit to assess the socio-economic condition of the student’s family and verify the information provided.
Step 3 – Scholarship Application Process
After successful preliminary verification, eligible students will be provided with the official online scholarship application form.
Applicants must complete and submit the form online along with all required supporting documents.
Offline applications will not be accepted.
Step 4 – Final Vaerification & Institutional Review
The scholarship review committee will carefully evaluate all submitted applications, documents, academic records, and institution details. Additional verification may also be conducted with the respective schools, colleges, or educational institutions before making the final decision.
Step 5 – Schaolarshaip Approval
Based on the verification process, financial need, academic merit, and available funding, scholarships will be approved for selected students.
Important Note
SVSF receives applications from many deserving students every year. However, due to limited funding and scholarship availability, Sam and Jane Foundation may not be able to support every eligible applicant despite genuine need and merit.
